Our Annual Macmillan Coffee Morning takes place on Friday 29th September. It’s open to everyone in the Wellington College Community as well as friends, family and the local community from 10am until 2pm.
Have you started thinking about the cakes you’re going to make for the House Cake Competition? Which House will come first this year?
There will be an award for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position and we’ll be looking for taste as well as technical merit – no soggy bottoms please!
An award for best cake amongst the community. This includes anyone from our parents, staff or local community who’d like to demonstrate their skills in cake baking and design.
Macmillan have been so impressed with our fundraising skills here at Wellington, that they are sending one of their top Macmillan Fundraising Managers, BETH BARTLAM, along to our coffee morning and this year Beth will have the pleasure of helping to judge Wellington’s beautiful cake entries at 11am.
Thanks to all of you and your generous donations of time and effort and cake ingredients we’ve raised over £10,000 from our Macmillan Coffee Mornings in total since 2008.
£28 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
