The annual Welling10k fun run in aid of the Jimmy Higham Bursary Fund takes place on Sunday, 9th September.
Named in memory of a young Wellington teacher who lost his battle with cancer in 2010, aged just 26, this bursary seeks to support a talented sportsman or sportswoman. As a boy, Jimmy was able to attend Rossall School thanks to a similarly generous bursary before going on to study at Durham University.
This event has now established itself in the college calendar and proves to be a popular way to start a new academic year: we hope you will all play a part in keeping this event as happy and vibrant as it has been over the past few years, either by running or helping out on the day.
Please save the date: registration will go live before the end of the Summer Term
If you wish to be involved but you are not able to run, then do email Adele Brown to express your interest in helping in another way, whether it be marshalling, registration, or anything else you think might need helping with!
