The past week has been a busy one for our U14 & U16 hockey players.

On Sunday 3rd the U16 Indoor Squad Qualified for National Indoor Finals for the first time to be played on the 12th & 13th of January at Bromsgrove school. On Wednesday the 6th both the U14 & U16 squads travelled to Charterhouse to take part in the South Outdoor Finals. It would be a very tough day for both teams and all the girls involved did incredibly well and were fantastic ambassadors for the school. With a lot of illness around there were some outstanding amounts of grit and determination shown by all.

The U14 Girls narrowly missed out on qualification after playing some very good teams. On the day the bounce of the ball just didn’t fall their way but they should be incredibly proud of how far they have come this season. The U16 Girls retained their South title on goal difference after a very tough game against St Georges that ended 0 – 0. With a lot of illness around the girls demonstrated an incredible amount of grit and determination to get the job done.

We would like to wish the U16 girls luck as they compete for two National titles next year. National indoor finals will be played at Bromsgrove school on the 12th & 13th January and the outdoor finals will be played at Lee Valley on 28th February and 1st March.

Last but not least good luck to the U18 Indoor girls in their South Final this weekend.
